Tips on our 21 Day Progressive Fast

I am excited about this 2012 new year.

There’s no better way to start off the new year than by giving it to God.  We, as a church family, have entered  into  a 21 day progresssive fast.  We have committed to pray for one another, our church, and a spiritual awakening.

We have started on a journey that is little by little asking more and more of our time and diet.  As of yesterday, Wednesday, we have given up anything that causes cravings (such as coffee, chocolate, and cokes).  I looked up foods that cause cravings and foound something I thought I should share with you.  The four top foods that cause cravings are 1.  Fruit Juices (especially processed ones).  2. Regular and diet soft drinks  3. White bread  4.  Most processed cereals.

I just thought this information may help you while we are fasting.

Remember, each time we give up a type of media or food, we need to be replacing it with time spent with God and in His Word.
